Introduction: Lead guitarist Arnie Vilches has had the honor of touring & recording with numerous major artists. From 1988 to 1997, he toured with Mark Farner, guitarist/frontman of Grand Funk Railroad (17 Gold & 15 Platinum Albums). Their hits include “Some Kinda Wonderful,” “We’re An American Band,” and “Locomotion.” Arnie appears on two of Mark’s albums. The San Diego based ax slinger also toured with Bobby Kimball, the original lead singer of TOTO (hits including “Hold The Line,” “Rosanna,” and “Africa”). Arnie appears on Bobby’s latest album, “We’re Not in Kansas Anymore,” which was nominated for a Grammy. Vilches has also hit the road with Bill Champlin, singer/songwriter/keyboardist for Chicago 1981-2009, and also recorded with him. Champlin performed lead vocals on three of Chicago’s biggest hits of the 1980s, “Hard Habit to Break,” “Look Away,” and “I Don’t Wanna Live Without Your Love.” Arnie has played individual shows with Randy Bachman & Fred Turner from Bachman Turner Overdrive, Greg Walker, Luis Gasca and Gibby Ross of Santana, Alan White, drummer of YES, Spencer Davis, Micky Dolenz of The Monkeys. Arnie is not only a top-tier guitarist but also plays the bass, drums, Latin percussion, and sings. He is a consummate stage performer with a rock & roll swagger!
