Introduction:
Michael O’Grady is a session and live-performance guitarist as well as an actor. In 2025, he joined Avril Lavigne as her guitarist on her Greatest Hits Tour and at the When We Were Young Festival. He previously performed as the touring guitarist for Paris Jackson—opening for artists such as Silversun Pickups and Patrick Droney—and appeared with her on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2022. Throughout his career, O’Grady has recorded in sessions with industry leaders including Randy Jackson (American Idol) and pop-punk producer Courtney Ballard. His acting credits include portraying Nick Valensi of The Strokes in the band’s “Bad Decisions” music video, as well as a speaking-role appearance as the guitarist “Eight Inch Nails” in Episode 5 of the Apple TV+ series Sexpectations.
